All You Need to Know
Official Regulations
The ground rules that keep UrbanovaFest safe and unforgettable. Buying a ticket means you've read and agreed to everything below.
1 · General
- UrbanovaFest takes place September 5–6, 2026 at Markham Festival Grounds (10801 McCowan Rd, Markham, ON).
- Purchasing a ticket or entering the grounds constitutes agreement with these rules and with all posted signage and staff direction.
- The organizer may amend these regulations; the latest version on this page applies.
2 · Tickets & Entry
- A valid ticket and a matching government-issued photo ID are required for entry.
- Tickets are non-transferable after personalization and may not be resold above face value.
- Wristbands must remain on for the duration of the event day; tampered wristbands void entry.
3 · All Ages
- UrbanovaFest is an all-ages event.
- Attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times.
- Licensed areas (19+) require valid ID — no minors permitted in these zones.
4 · Prohibited Items
- Weapons of any kind, including knives and pepper spray.
- Outside food and beverages, including alcohol.
- Illegal substances and drug paraphernalia.
- Glass containers, fireworks, flares and laser pointers.
- Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles.
- Professional cameras and recording rigs without media accreditation.
- Bags larger than 35cm × 30cm × 15cm; all bags subject to search. This list is not exhaustive — security has final discretion.
5 · Allowed Items
- Small bags and fanny packs (subject to search).
- Empty reusable water bottles — free refill stations on site.
- Phones, small point-and-shoot cameras, portable chargers.
- Sunscreen (non-aerosol), hats, sunglasses, earplugs.
- Required prescription medication in original packaging.
6 · Health & Safety
- Medical teams and first-aid stations operate throughout the grounds — locations on the festival map.
- Free water refill stations are available; pace yourself in the heat.
- In an emergency, follow staff instructions and posted evacuation routes.
7 · Recording & Media
- By entering, you consent to appearing in photography and video captured for festival promotion.
- The event is monitored by CCTV for safety; personal data is processed per our privacy policy.
8 · Re-entry
- Same-day re-entry is limited — check your ticket tier for details.
- A valid wristband and scan-out are required to re-enter.
9 · Conduct & Sanctions
- Zero tolerance for violence, harassment, discrimination or theft.
- Violations may result in removal from the grounds without refund and a ban from future editions.
10 · Liability
- Attendees enter at their own risk; the organizer is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- The event proceeds rain or shine; lineup and schedule are subject to change without refund.
